About NASWEI

The National Association for Social Work Education, Inc. (NASWEI) is the national umbrella organization for social work schools and educators across the Philippines.

Our Vision

NASWEI is an internationally renowned association of schools of social work in the Philippines that is self-sustaining, rights-based, culturally grounded, gender sensitive, empowering, globally responsive, and collaborative towards a full and dignified life for all.

Our Mission

NASWEI is committed to hone and educate social work aspirants and professionals as well as to promote high quality of social work education and uphold transformative leadership that is responsive to social challenges in changing times.

Organizational Objectives

Ensure that the standards of social work education in the Philippines are at par with regional and international academic standards

Promote indigenization of social work education towards culture-based theory building to be more responsive to Philippine realities

Assist initiatives of member schools to set up mechanisms that address the rights and welfare of faculty and/or students;

Support the organization of social work students toward self-sustaining governance;

Forge partnerships with social work and social development organizations both national and international
